The 26th Yankee Infantry Division Drum and Bugle Corps was an augmentation of the 26th Infantry Division Band.  In 1976, members of civilian drum and bugle corps were enlisted into the band, joining band members who had similar experience.  The corps had 26 members when it made its first performance, a number that set the tone of the “Spirit” of the unit.  The “26th” Division Drum and Bugle Corps.  The corps traveled along with the Division and performed throughout Massachusetts  New York and Canada.  Some years later, with enlistments down, the need to beef up the band forced the demise of the unit and most of its members were assimilated into the band. A detail history is now being compiled and will be presented on this page when completed.
